She got up after tying her skates and began pulling Andrew’s hand. “Come on, don’t be a chicken. You’re going to have fun.”
They slowly made their way to the rink.
Sherry released him and skated away, twirling around and laughing like she was a kid. She passed by him multiple times.
Andrew took his time, slowly skating around teens and kids.
She came up behind him and took his hand and pulled him, making him go faster as she guided him around the ring. “I got you,” she said, laughing.
He found his rhythm. It was like riding a bike. Once you learned how to do it, you never forgot.
She moved in front of him so they faced each other and he began spinning them around, laughing. He hadn’t had innocent fun like this in a long time. She brought out so much in him.
She couldn’t stop laughing. “Stop! I’m getting dizzy.”
He pulled her close to him, kissed her nose, and skated away.
She went to follow him but she must still have been dizzy because she fell. He rushed back toward her, thinking she was hurt. Her hands were covering her face and it sounded like she was crying.
He kneeled down by her side. “Sherry, please tell me you’re okay,” he said, his voice rattling.
She uncovered her face. Instead of crying she was laughing. He didn’t know he’d been holding his breath until he saw she wasn’t hurt.
“Yes,” she said, still sitting on the ice.
He stood, extending his hand to help her up. She took his hand and jumped up.
“I’m having so much fun.” She said, limping a little.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
“Come on.” They skated until he decided to take a break and sat on the side.
He stared at a lady and her son. She was teaching him how to skate. Memories of his mom flooded him.
Sherry swiveled to a stop and sat next to him. “Are you okay? You had a faraway look on your face.” She said, untying her skates.
“Just thinking of my childhood.” He continued to focus on the little boy.
“Tell me about your childhood.”
He turned toward her. “I can’t complain. I had a decent childhood. I just wish my mother hadn’t done, what she did.” He looked away.
She linked her arms in his. “I don’t know what’s it’s like to grow up without two parents, but I can see your dad did a great job raising you alone.”
“He did his best, but his heart never recovered from my mom cheating on him and leaving us.”
“Are you sure it’s just your dad that didn’t recover?”
He finally met her gaze. “What are you asking?”
She swallowed. “I think you haven’t recovered from the choices your mom made.” He didn’t say anything. “Did you forgive her?”
“I forgave her for not wanting us around when she was dying, but I can’t get over the fact she left us for another man.” He played with her fingers. “I’ve never let anyone into my heart because of my mother. I’m afraid the same thing will happen to me.”
“You don’t have to worry about that with me, because love or no love, I wouldn’t cheat.”
“That’s good to know, because—”
She placed her finger on his lips. “I understand.”
He grabbed her hand and kissed her knuckles. “I’ve never had this much fun with another woman.”
“Because all they wanted was to get into your pants and wallet.”
He glanced at her for a second. “And you?”
“Right now.” She stared at him. “I want to get into your pants.”
His chuckle was deep.
She placed his hand to her lips. “Seriously, I’m having fun too. I’m getting to know the real you, and I like it.”
Chapter Fourteen
On the night of her parents’ fortieth wedding anniversary celebration, Andrew sat in his living room, waiting for Sherry to finish getting dressed. “Sherry, we’re going to be late,” he yelled, hating being late to anything. He leaned his head on the couch and closed his eyes.
When he opened his eyes, she stood in front of him, taking his breath away. He stared at her from her feet all the way to her hair. The tiny black dress hugged her in all the right places, especially her breasts. On automatic, whenever she was around, he got hard.
She twirled around. “You like?”
After watching her ass, he stood. “I love it.” He put his arms around her to pull her closer, and devoured her lips. He couldn’t resist her anymore. Like a drug, she brought out the beast in him.
She placed her hands on his chest and pushed back. “You’re going to mess up my lipstick.”
He put his hand behind her neck and pulled her forward, and commenced giving her kisses from her earlobe down to her collarbone.
“Andrew…” she moaned.
He knew all the spots on her body that would bring her to her knees, and him licking and nibbling on her neck was one. Damn, she was driving him crazy.
“Stop,” she whispered. “You’re going to make us late.”
He kept his hand behind her neck and gazed into her eyes. “Okay.”
“You never give up that easily.”
He knew she wouldn’t be able to resist.
She pulled his shirt out of his pants, and commenced to unbutton it. She stepped out of her pumps and walked behind him and took off his shirt, then turned and ran to their bedroom.
He laughed, took off his shoes, and ran after her.
Reaching the bedroom, he stopped dead in his tracks, admired at her.
Sherry was on her knees in the middle of the bed with nothing on but her sparkling jewelry and her dazzling smile.
He felt something he hadn’t felt before. His heart raced so fast he thought it would jump out of his chest. He moved slowly toward her. Is this what love feels like? He wanted to spend all his free time with her. He did anything he could just to see her smile.
She stopped smiling and went to cover herself with the sheet.
“Don’t.”
“What’s wrong? You have this weird look on your face.”
“Nothing’s wrong. It’s just….”
“It’s what?” She asked, rearranging her legs beneath her.
He took her hands in his. “Sherry….” He took a deep breath. “This is all new to me.” He could tell she was a bit confused, as her left eyebrow arched. “What I’m trying to say is…I’m getting used to you. I can’t imagine living in this house without you anymore.”
Her lips curled up into a smile. “I like you too, Andrew.”
She leaned forward, capturing his lips.
She’s mine…. Her tongue took control of his mouth. He climbed on the bed, pulling Sherry up to her knees. Their kiss became powerful, a tug of tongues matching each other’s strokes.
She pulled away and turned toward the headboard, placed her hands up against the board and spread her legs open.
He was mesmerized looking at the tight, chocolate ass. He stripped off his remaining clothes. He put his hands over hers on the headboard, and kissed the side of her neck. “Mami.”
“Mmm….” she moaned. “I like it when you lick…yes….” He gently sucked at her sensitive skin. “Right there….”
He repeated his action. His cock rested on her ass. He wrapped his arms around her waist, slowly guiding his finger to her sweet core. She was more than ready for him.
“You’re driving me crazy,” he whispered as he plunged deep into her.
She gasped, grabbing hold of the bed as he moved in and out. He spread her legs wider with his, getting deeper. “Oh…Andrew…yes…. Oh!” she said, between her teeth.
“Tell me…you like it…” he groaned.
“I like…it…Oh I love…it!” She murmured, moving her butt to his rhythm.
He smacked her ass and gave her powerful strokes. Leaning over, he began playing with her clit while his other hand pinched her nipple. He could feel her pussy pulsating on his cock.<

“Baby, are you going to come for me?” continuing to play with her clit.
“Yes!” She moaned uncontrollably and screamed out his name. Andrew took her hands and placed them on the mattress so she was on all fours, slowing his tempo, watching his cock go in and out of her sweet pussy.
His strokes got faster and finally, her walls contracting took him over the edge.
He growled her name as the last of his semen hit her canal, then stared at her pleasure filled body.
Sherry laid on her stomach, obviously trying to calm down her breathing.
Andrew’s breathing was back to normal and he sat up in the bed, and smacked her ass. “Get up. We’re going to be late.”
She rolled her eyes as he laughed. He jumped of the bed, and picked her up, and they entered the bathroom.

Andrew and Sherry strolled into the hotel venue hand in hand, with smiles on their faces. Their arrival was noted by their siblings.
“You guys are so late.” Shannon said walking toward them alongside Matt. She looked fabulous in her red, flowing dress, and he looked handsome as always in his black suit.
“Sorry, sis. I couldn’t find my car keys.” Andrew smirked, then gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Shaking his head, Matt laughed. “You couldn’t come up with a better reason?”
She Shannon arched her eyebrow and glared at both of them. “Why couldn’t you use Sherry’s car?”
Sherry stepped up. “Really, Shannon—” She spied her brother and began running toward him. “Brandon!”
Her brother opened his arms and hugged her, swinging her around. “Sis!” He placed her down and kissed her cheek. “You look great.”
“You do too!” She leaned back to observe her brother. Brandon was dark, handsome, with their mother’s facial features, only more defined, masculine.
“You weren’t here when we surprised mom and dad.” He stretched his hand out for his wife. “Why must you always be late?”
“Sherry!” Olivia yelled, wrapping her arms around her. “It’s been so long. Let me look at you.” She backed away for a better view.
“I didn’t know you were coming,” Sherry said.
“It was a surprise.” He laughed. “We couldn’t tell you.”
“Why?” She put her hands on her hips.
Shannon came up behind them. “Because we needed to keep it a surprise.”
Sherry shot daggers at her. “Whatever!”
As they all laughed, Andrew and Matt stood to the side, watching brother and sisters. Andrew broke the silence. “Where are my niece and nephew?”
“They are at the babysitter’s. Tonight is mom and dad’s night.” Matt changed the subject. “I’m happy for you.”
“You are?”
Matt turned his attention to him. “She’s good for you. You’re finally enjoying yourself. I heard you went skating.”
He laughed. “Why does she have to tell your wife everything?”
“Because like you and me, they are each other’s best friend.”
“True.” Andrew gazed at his wife. “I never thought she, of all women I’ve been with, would bring out of the best in me. She makes me want the real thing.”
“Maybe you already have it.”
“Andrew?” Sherry called him. “Come here.”
He walked over and took his hand in hers. “Andrew, I’m not sure if you remember, but his is my brother Brandon and his wife Olivia.”
Matt and Shannon had been married for over four years. Andrew had never gone to any of their family functions, so this was his first opportunity to meet all of her family. If he is anything like his father, this isn’t going to be good. He went to shake Brandon’s hand, but was pulled into a strong hug, instead.
“Welcome to the family, even though you were already in.” Brandon grinned.
“Thank you.” He kissed Olivia on the cheek. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“So you’re the one that has my sister smiling,” Brandon said, teasing, making Sherry blush.
He squeezed her hand. “Your sister is the one that makes me smile.”
“Awww…” Olivia said. “I like you already.”
Mrs. Jones, came over looking radiant in a silver-and-black long dress. Her kinky curls were up in twists. “Well, hello, darling.” She hugged Sherry. “I’m happy you could finally make it.”
“It was my fault, Mrs. Jones,” said Andrew, defensively.
She touched his face. “You’re too sweet, but I know my daughter. She’s always late.”
“I think she’ll be late to her own funeral,” Brandon said.
“Don’t say that.” Her mother scolded him.
Sherry hugged her mom again and kissed her. “Congratulations, mom. I love you.”
“I love you too, baby.”
Her dad strolled over, looking like one of the guys from the Temptations, sharp in his brown suit.
Andrew extended his hand, and for the first time since they’d announced their marriage he spoke directly to him. “Congratulations, sir.”
To Andrew’s surprise, Mr. Jones shook his hand. “Thank you.”
“Daddy!” Sherry sounded like a little girl. She jumped into his arms, he saw the love they had for each other regardless of their differences. “Congratulations, Daddy. I love you.”
“I love you too, baby girl.” He backed away, looking at his kids. “I’m so happy to have you all here.” Mr. Jones took his wife in his arms.
“Let’s dance.” Andrew took Sherry’s hand, and twirled her to the dance floor.
She put her hands behind his neck, and pulled him down, kissing him on the lips. “You really do make me happy.”
He smiled and kissed her back. “You have a wonderful family.”
“Thank you. They are crazy at times but they are wonderful.” She gazed over at her parents and siblings.
“Don’t you dare get emotional.” He caressed the side of her neck. “Tonight is about happiness and celebrations.” He picked her up and tickled her, making her laugh hard.
Her parents looked over at them, and this time he didn’t see disapproval. He saw acceptance.

Matt stood behind his wife, swaying from side to side to the music. “You were right.”
“About?” She had her hands on his on her waist.
“They make each other happy.” He kissed her neck. “I think he’s falling in love.”
“I think Sherry’s already in love.”
He whispered in her ear. “He told me she makes him happy.”
“He admitted that to you?”
“Yes, and you better not tell Sherry I told you that.”
“I won’t, but I hope you’ll listen to me more often.”
***
Mr. and Mrs. Jones danced close together, in perfect time to the music.
“Look at our kids,” Mrs. Jones said. “We did good. I’m proud of each one of them.”
“I may not say this often, but I’m proud of them too.” He kissed his wife’s cheek. “Joy, you are the glue that kept this family together.”
She gazed at her husband with so much love. “I can’t believe they are all grown up, and we have three grandbabies.”
“Well, believe it. Tomorrow, we’ll have all three to ourselves.”
“We’re blessed. Shannon is cancer-free, Brandon and Olivia worked out their differences and Sherry, well look at her.” They both watched her flirt with her new husband.
“I’ve never seen her so happy. I guess I was wrong about those boys,” Mr. Jones said.
Mrs. Jones smiled and rubbed her husband’s baldhead. “Thank God you finally see it. I love you.”
“Sweetheart, I love you more with each passing day, forty years and counting.” She barely got the words out before he kissed her, to the congratulations and cheerful shouts and whistles of their nearest and dearest.
Chapter Fifteen
It was late at night when Andrew woke up, alone. He
felt for his wife, but she wasn’t there. Seeing the bathroom light on, he slipped out of bed and headed there. He lightly knocked on the door. “Sherry.”
“Yes.”
He could barely hear her. “Can I come in?”
“Yes.”
He opened the door. She was sitting on the floor, holding her stomach. He rushed to her side and kneeled down. “What’s wrong?”
“I got my period. I’m not pregnant.”
He sat next to her and wrapped his arms around her. “Maybe next time.”
“What if I can’t get pregnant, Andrew? We’ve been trying for six months.”
“Sherry, six months is not that long.”
“To me it is.”
“It takes some people years to have a baby. You just need to be patient.” He rubbed her hand with his fingers.
“We don’t have that much time.”
“We have all the time in the world.”
“Our contract will be over soon.”
He turned and stared into her eyes. “I want more than a year with you, but it’s all up to you. Do you want to go see a specialist?”
“Yes.”
“Okay.” He smiled. “You make the appointment and I’ll be right there with you.”
She smiled. “You’re such a wonderful husband.”
He got up and helped her up. “Come on, let’s go watch that sappy romance movie you wanted to see.”
“Really?”
“Just don’t tell anyone.”
***
“Sherry, why are you nervous?” Andrew asked her, shifting toward her in his chair. It was a sturdy chair in a normal-enough doctor’s office.
“I’m not nervous,” she answered.
“You’re shaking your legs. You only do that when you’re nervous. Everything is going to be fine.” He took her hand in his.
“I’ve been on birth control since I was a teen. That was almost twenty years ago. What if I can’t have a baby? What if it’s too late?” She released his hand. “You’ll have married me for nothing. We have six more months, and this will be over.”
